The Professional Fighters League continues its second PFL MENA season this week with the start of its welterweight and bantamweight tournaments.

Headlining the PFL MENA 2 card is a featured welterweight fight between Omar El Dafrawy and Daniele Miceli. Both men successfully made weight, as did most of the 11-fight card. The exceptions were bantamweights Mehdi Saadi and Islam Youssef. Originally set to fight Benyamin Ghahraman, Saadi missed weight "significantly," and will be replaced by alternate Youssef, who also came in heavy at 137.3 pounds. Additionally, an amateur fight between Abdulaziz Bin Moammar and Hassan Ahmed Abdelmoney was cut after Abdelmonem wasn't medically cleared.

El Dafrawy (13-5) is the winner of the PFL MENA 2024 welterweight season. 3-0 inside the promotion, he knocked out Jarrah Al-Silawi and Mohammad Alaqraa to secure his playoff victories. Overall, the Egyptian fighter is on a seven-fight win streak. Meanwhile, Miceli (13-6, 1 NC) hails from Italy and is coming off a stint in PFL Europe. Debuting with wins over Yassin Najid and Ibrahima Mane, "The Cyborg" then lost to Florim Zendeli. The 37-year-old will look to show he has plenty left in the tank.

PFL MENA 2 will begin at noon ET/9 a.m. PT on Friday, July 4. It will stream via the PFL app.
