Landu was one of the most experienced fighters the PFL acquired in its purchase of Bellator, and his debut in the PFL SmartCage has been highly anticipated. At 38, the Paris native has arguably never looked better, with five straight wins on his ledger. In his last fight, Landu escaped with a split decision over Jonas Bilharinho when the first-round finish was on the table. Landu dominated the fight from the start and punished Bilharinho on his way to a 10-8 round, but he took his foot off the gas and was bullied a bit in the clinch. While the split decision loss was gracious for Bilharinho, it was disappointing to see Landu miss out on his first finish since 2022. Pair that with being 38 and not having fought in over a year, and one could argue that Landu needs to make a statement in this showcase bout.

If Landu is the elder statesman of the PFL featherweight division, Adjoudj is the exciting new kid on the block. In only 10 fights, the Frenchman has shown resilience and fight-ending abilities. Coming off a third-round submission win in November, Adjoudj is primed to take on the biggest name of his career. He’s long, lanky and athletic, but still appears raw for a disciplined vet like Landu. This could be his opportunity to prove otherwise.

Landu understands how to win fights and could be too much of a puzzle for the young Adjoudj. Landu knows when to press and when to evade and can be a frustrating fighter with whom to engage. Adjoudj could have his hands full while processing the savvy vet, and three rounds may not be enough to get the right on him. Despite the year off, Landu is still dependable and capable of holding back young prospects.
